Put the cd in your dell computer and install the drivers from the cd. I am a 67-year-old woman who needs all the help I can get when I am having problems with my computer. I am experiencing the same problem. Thanks again..!! My wireless connection appears ok and connected, but IE6 and Opera are still not working. I had the same problem with ZONEALARM....

There are quite a few yellow question marks in device manager, however, "network adapter" isn't listed at all. I did what you said and deleted all the browsing stuff and it works perfect now.
